TV Stars in a Small Town
Chefs Matt and Mike Romine may be from the small town of Imlay City, MI, but their talents earned them a spot on the hit show, “Chopped,” which they won on a special twins episode. Of course, competition runs deep in their fraternal relationship, so they decided to host a cook-off event at their restaurant.
For one evening, they closed down regular operations and sold 245 tickets to friends, family, and regular patrons for a special three course meal. Each brother planned their menu in secret and prepared their appetizer, entree, and dessert on opposite sides of the kitchen. Guests were served each dish, not knowing whose it was, and voted for their favorites. At the end of the night, the winner was announced.
Corner Store Creative shot and edited all of the footage before, during, and after the event, capturing the meal preparation, plate presentation, and guest reactions. Our ability to run a light prodution operation helped us get into tight spaces without hindering the chefs as well as capture the evening without being intrusive.

Teaser
The first edit was a short teaser for use on social media. The event had been hyped for several weeks and in order to keep the momentum going, we wanted to get the first piece of content out quickly. This 15 second teaser served just that purpose.
Promo
The primary promotional tool was the 60 second recap video that caught the highlights of the whole evening including the winner announcement. With fast, fun music, we really captured the excitement of the whole night.
Documentary
The Sibling Rivalry Dinner was quite a production for the Romine brothers so we also created a longer, 2 and a half minute mini-documentary to explain everything that was going on. With some behind the scenes interviews and additional footage of the evening, you can really get a sense of what happened.
